Monday, June 26, 2017Linda C. Follet of 4 Kent Court, Mansfield, TX was promoted to heaven on June 20, 2017. She was born and raised in Scranton, PA. She married the love of her life, and best friend, on September 21, 1968. They lived in Conklin, NY before moving to Mansfield, TX in January 1996. Linda was a registered nurse and held positions in the Binghamton, NY area, and subsequently in Arlington, TX, before retiring in January 2007. Don and Linda were active members of Regency Baptist Church, and prior to that, the Little White Church of Conklin, NY. Linda is survived by her loving husband Don of 48 years, and her children Jennifer (Ray) Everhart, and James Follet, and her grandchildren, Josiah, Naomi, and Ruthanne. Surviving her also is her sister, Nancy (Charles) Donlin of Scranton, PA along with several nieces and nephews. Monday, June 19, 2017Sunday at Gunpowder VFW Post 10067, 6309 Ebenezer Road in Middle River.According to an obituary from the funeral home, Houck will be buried at Veterans Cemetery at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.Houck and two others were killed June 10 in the Peka Valley of the Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan, according to the Army. Houck, Sgt. William M. Bays and Cpl. Dillon C. Baldridge were members of the Army's 101st Airborne Division and were supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel.Houck is a 2009 graduate of Perry Hall High School and is survived by his wife, Samantha Houck, and two young children.Earlier this week, Baltimore County officials said Houck's name will be added to a new memorial in Towson that honors county service members who lost their lives in the Middle East since Operation Desert Storm.Baltimore Sun Media Group reporter Margarita Cambest contributed to this article.pwood@baltsun.comtwitter.com/pwoodreporter...

He was a graduate of Ringgold High School and Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard and worked many years with U.S. Veterans Department. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oscar Price. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Price Brown of Rockmart; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kristina Brown of Rockmart and their children, Jonathon Brown, Brandon Brown and Abigail Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Rock Hardin of Dalton and their children, Christiana Willocks, Brady Willocks and Connor Willocks; grandparents, Barbara and William Brown; and special fur buddy, Stormy.
