He was a member of the Jefferson City/Cole County Senior Nutrition Council for six years.Survivors include: his wife of twenty-five years, Judy Mobrice; one step-daughter, Kimberly Anne Johnson and her husband Stephen of Jefferson City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Matthew Johnson and Sarah Johnson of Jefferson City, Mo.; one nephew, Paul D. Mobrice and his wife Helena of Cumberland, Rhode Island; two great nephews, Zack and Tyler Mobrice of Cumberland, Rhode Island.; a great niece, Alicia Cohelo and her husband Tony of Attleboro, Ma. and their children, Landen and Logan, of the home; and one uncle, Bob Filippone of West Palm Beach, Florida.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul R. Mobrice in 2016.Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Hilty officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, 201 Monroe Street, Jefferson City, Mo. 65101 or the Jefferson City Animal Shelter, 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, Mo. 65109. Monday, June 19, 2017He was twice married, first to the late Polly Owens Abrams.Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of the home, are: his son, Keith (Sara) Abrams of Laurens; his daughter, Kimberly (Dale) Langley of El Dorado, AR; three brothers, Joseph Preston (Pat) Abrams, Jr. of Ware Shoals, John Thomas Abrams, Sr. of Laurens, and James (Frankie) Abrams of Spartanburg; his sister-in-law, Betty Abrams of Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Renee (Christopher) Roberson and Jessica Langley, both of El Dorado AR. He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Abrams.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Wayne Wicker, Rev. John T. Abrams, Jr., and Rev. George Leagans officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
