Monday, January 30, 2017Catholic Church. A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at the church. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at the South Lincoln Cemetery in Kemmerer.Mrs. Wagner, 93, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at her home.She was born Dec. 4, 1923, to Martilda Coletti Bertagnoli and Matteo “Matt” Bertagnoli.The eldest of three daughters, she was raised on a sheep ranch on the Hamsfork River near Kemmerer with her sisters Florence and Dolores. After completing elementary and secondary schools in Opal, Diamondville, and Kemmerer, she attended the University of Wyoming, where she majored in home economics and met her future husband, Donald Wagner.They married in 1944 before he was called to overseas duty as an ensign in the U.S. Navy. When World War II ended, Don and Barbara settled in Kemmerer, where they raised seven children and opened Don’s Service and Supply, a business still operated by their children. Barbara was a hardworking and creative homemaker devoted to her children and family.Barbara and Don divorced in 1969, after which she attended Utah State University, where she majored in art education. She had always shown an interest and talent in art and had been producing paintings but had never formally studied art until her attendance at Utah State University. After receiving her degree, she began teaching art, first in Byron and then in the Rock Springs schools.Changing directions, she opened a record store, Round Sounds. After six years of operation she closed the doors and became a lab technician with the Jim Bridger Power Plant, retiring eight years later. In her retirement, she cared for her ailing mother for many years.Being an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community, spending time with her family, gardening and art brought Barbara great joy. She was a talented artist who exhibited her work in venues in Rock Springs. Many of her lovely renditions are prized by her family and hang in their homes.She lived with her daughter Donna Nunez and her grandsons Michael and Matthew Nunez for many years. Donna cared for her in her later years until her death.She is survived by her seven children David (Mary) Wagner of Arnold, California, Jennifer Lease of Las Vegas, Thomas and (Tricia) Wagner, John (Rebecca) Wagner, Eric (Jeanne) Wagner and Mark (Susan) Wagner, all of Kemmerer, and Donna (Jerry) Guillen of Rock Springs; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters Florence and Dolores; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Matthew Paul Bertagnolli; and grandson Shawn Wagner.
Monday, December 12, 2016Wyoming earlier this month.Jacob Ivan Rasmussen, 30, was found dead around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2 about 25 miles north of Kemmerer, Wyoming, and about 20 miles east of the Idaho state line, authorities said. A rancher found Rasmussen's body in what was supposed to be an unoccupied ranch building and contacted the Lincoln County, Wyoming, Sheriff's Office.Lincoln County deputies, Wyoming Fish and Game officers and Lincoln County Coroner's Office personnel responded and identified the deceased as Rasmussen.The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said the investigation into Rasmussen's death is "active and ongoing" but has not released information on how or when he might have died.Authorities are trying to locate Rasmussen's black 2010 Toyota 4Runner with Bannock County license plates 1BZ7355. Rasmussen has ties to Bannock County, but authorities have not yet provided more specific information on where he resided. Monday, November 07, 2016He was the beloved husband of Lucille (McIntyre) Moore for 61 years.Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Moore) Snyder. He was raised by his uncle, the late Francis “Fritz” Kemmerer.Mr. Moore was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Okinawa during the late 1950s.Bob had been employed at Lemmon Pharmaceutical Company, Sellersville. He had also owned and operated a Penn Jersey store in Souderton. Most recently, he had been employed as a maintenance worker at the Pennridge Airport, Perkasie and as a custodian for the Deibler Elementary School, Perkasie.He was a long-time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville. Winnie was a member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post 255, Sellersville and the NRA.An avid hunter, Bob also loved being outside and caring for his property, especially mowing the lawn. He had enjoyed bi-annual trips to Picton, Canada with his wife. Monday, June 13, 2016Wyoming.Investigators in Lincoln County confirmed that 63-year-old Kay Ricks' body was discovered before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday in a rural area of the county near the city of Kemmerer.Ricks, a UTA maintenance worker, vanished the evening of May 12 in South Salt Lake, within a mile of the last known location visited by father and son Flint and Dereck Harrison while they were still in Utah.Flint and DJ Harrison were arrested last week in Wyoming for the suspected kidnapping of a woman and her four daughters in Centerville, after leading Utah and Wyoming police on a multi-agency manhunt.RELATED: Police: Missing UTA worker's truck may be connected to Centerville kidnapping suspectsWyoming police said Monday that they were investigating a possible connection between the two cases, but Steenblick told 2News Monday that Centerville Police did not have any evidence to connect the missing UTA truck to the kidnapping suspects.Flint, 51, and Dereck, 22, appeared before a Wyoming judge for an extradition hearing on Monday afternoon.
