Church St., Halls, TN.Ms. Leora Thomas age 60 of Dyersburg, TN died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Leora Denise Thomas was born in Newbern, TN on June 22, 1957, she was the youngest daughter born to the union of the late Temis and Imogen Watson. She met her Lord and Savior on July 19, 2017. She attended Brandywine High School in Niles, MI. and graduated in 1976. She later attended Cape Area Vocational School in Cape Girardeau, MO. She graduated March 1983 as a Nurse’s Aide. She also completed courses in cosmetology. In her early years she was adventurous and enjoyed traveling until she was plagued with illness. She was caring and generous to her family, friends, and most importantly her grandchildren. Leora’s smile and unique laugh (snorting) will be missed the most.She leaves to cherish three fine sons: Temis (Shameka) Watson of Newbern, TN., Travis Vaughn of Dyersburg, Kenneth (Cathey) Vaughn, of Kenosha, WI. Five sisters: Moline Crawford, Sadie Powell of Dyersburg, TN. Delores Plummer of South Bend, IN., Martha Coleman of California. Six brothers, Daniel Watson of Newbern, TN., Willie Paul Watson, Billy Watson, Johnny Watson, of Dyersburg, TN., Joe Watson of Cincinnati, OH., J.W. Green of Florida.
